it happened without warning signs. one second we were all laughing, and then the next, piercing screams filled the air. i didn't even get a chance to turn around to see what was happening before my best friend, who was sitting beside me, fell over as a bang suffocated the atmosphere. it all seemed like a blur after that. the next thing i remember is being outside, amongst all the crying. i was covered in her blood, and while we were being forced to move, i stayed firm, watching that were being carried out. there were four: jason walker, brian uncapher, stephanie chandler, and finally cassandra johnson. now, only a few months later, the panic is windling. we're not in the news anymore, and the funerals are over. the only proof that it happened was the absence in some lives, and the closing of he school for the rest of thet year. now, we are forced to go to and try and move on, while the past haunts us, drowning every other thought. how are we supposed to recover from this tragedy? i guess we just have to slow down and pick up the pieces, while the future hangs over our heads.
