The year is 1975, and the magical community is descending slowly into panic with each new attack from the Dark Lord. His forces are becoming stronger than anyone fathomed. It is rare for even a day to go by without the report of a new death or disappearance. It's rumored that he's got the Giants now...and some unfortunate souls have reported spotting inferi.
But hope is not lost. It might be true that people are quickly losing faith in the ministry, which has been heavily infiltrated by agents of the Dark Lord, but the Order of the Phoenix is proving to be a force to reckon with. It is a small, but close-knit group of people who have become the best chance the magical community has at defeating He-who-must-not-be-named.
Hogwarts was always thought to be a stronghold. A place that the Dark Lord's influence could not reach. With Albus Dumbledore as headmaster, it seemed likely, but alas, the Dark Lord has finally gained a foothold. He's succeeded in implanting a few spies, unbeknownst to the Headmaster and his staff. And he has begun recruiting; begun to mold young minds even as he is not there himself.
Will the the magical community be able to push back the approaching darkness?
Will Voldemort's spies pay off?
Will anything ever go back to the way it was?
