they've got the looks. they've got the style. they've got the power. and they've got the
money. they are the upper east siders. does it sound too wonderful? isn't it what you've alw
ays wished for? don't try to deny it, we're all that shallow. but i'll tell you one thing. life
on the upper east side isn't nearly as perfect as it sounds. sure, everyone here plays per
fect, look perfect, speak perfect. anyway, while everyone here is picture-perfect, all of
them have their itzy bitzy secrets, and trust me, someday we'll know what that girl was doing
last friday, or whether that boy actually murdered someone or not. that's my mission on this
world. my only rule? don't play by the rules. that's all i ask of you, darlings. you
know you love me.
