YOU PROBABLY WON’T FIND a place much better than this in the whole state of Georgia. Yeah, Buckhead’s real
nice, only if you like not having a backyard and living with the noise of Atlanta. Of course, half of our workforce
is employed in downtown Atlanta – probably some big law or business firms. They have to have some kind of white
collar job to pay for that $400,000 home and that Lexus SUV. I’m talking about Calderwood, a gorgeous town
nestled a short distance to the northeast of Atlanta city limits. Welcome to our community, and what other
way to show our Southern hospitality than a couple rounds of golf?
THE FIRST THING YOU PROBABLY WANT TO KNOW is what Calderwood has to offer. It’s an easy question to
answer, buddy. Calderwood has everything that you and your family will need. If you need private pre-schools
for your toddler, swell shopping areas for your wife, or personal trainers for your son, you won’t have to go
all the way to Atlanta, although the option is certainly there if you don’t find the resources here inadequate.
Trust me – you won’t have to do that. If you want to know about the schools, you’ve got some great options.
Calderwood High School probably offers the best public education in the state of Georgia. It’s even better
than some of the private schools. You’ll find that the athletics is great, too. A good number of our football
boys are playing at Division One schools, and we had a handful of other student-athletes that ended up at
Duke, Ohio State, and UCLA. Those that don’t do sports end up all right, too. My boss’s son is at Cal
Berkeley, and the neighbor’s daughter is studying pre-law at Columbia. No doubt your kids will do well
under the prime educatorship of Calderwood High School.
WE HAVE PLENTY OF JOBS, all perfect for the bachelor fresh out of college, we have some more lofty
positions as well, but either way, if you need a job, there’s a safe bet that you can get one easily. We
usually don’t have jobs for people who don’t have a degree, but again, you can find one here. Of course,
with that half-million dollar home of yours, I’m assuming you already have a nice job with a great salary.
Don’t think of us as some insulated community – we do have room for those seeking better opportunity.
I was once one of those opportunity-seekers, and now I’m head of a small law firm on the corner of
Dalton and Conkwright. We’re still in the business of giving opportunity today. Problem is, we’re not
sure if we have enough room to accommodate the masses of people coming into the area. I’d like to say
that we’re doing well to accommodate, but you never know. I can tell you one thing – all the new noise
is already knocking off my concentration.
WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK in Calderwood – you’ll love it. Of course, we won’t let a little construction
get in the way of making us love the place. Opportunity awaits, and for sure you’ll hardly find a better deal.
