boswyth bay is small fishing village in the cornish countryside in england. it's not a huge village, but it stops everyone from knowing everyone intimately, though the faces can br recognized. the neighbours are all friendly with each other, and most teens seem to socialise pretty well with each other, and on the surface, boswyth seems like the perfect little town to live in.
but beneath that mask, there's something else. not everyone in boswyth bay is as clean as they look, and almost everybody has a skeleton in their closet. people who appear to be close friends could really be enemy; she could only be going out with him because of blackmail. and maybe, just maybe, that one boy who looks at everyone weirdly really is the psycho you thought him to be...
