As acting Captain of the USS Enterprise, James T. Kirk is about to embark
on his first official mission, one that will last five years. Starfleet sends many
starships on five year missions for exploratory purposes. There was a time
when the five year mission of the Enterprise was considered one of the
greatest chapters in Starfleet history. But this was before the invasion of the
future Romulans, an action that changed the course of history. Can the
Enterprise and her crew live up to their once claim to fame? Can the
youngest Captain in the history of Starfleet once again become one of the
greatest Captains in all the Federation?

running smoothly, though it is only a matter of time until the motely
crew run into some trouble. Right now, they are busy adjusting to life
aboard the starship, a life most will be living for the next five years. There
is tension and surely more to be created, along with friendships and
